Master’s Level Intern

Emily Fluhart is a Master’s Level Intern studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Trevecca Nazarene University. Before seeking a Master’s Level education, she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor Association (TLPCA), and the Nashville Area Association of Christian Counselors (NAACC).

Emily is passionate about working with individuals experiencing any of life’s challenges, particularly those dealing with anxiety, body image issues, spiritual or church-related issues, chronic illness, grief, and trauma. She believes that by providing a safe environment for one to share and process their story and present challenges, she can partner with them in their healing journey. Her therapeutic approach is tailored to her clients, drawing from evidenced-based therapies and techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness.
