Master’s Level Intern

Tamika Shipp is a Master’s Level Intern pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Argosy University in Atlanta, Georgia. Tamika is a member of the American Counseling Association and the American Association of Christian Counselors and is a Certified SYMBIS Facilitator.

Tamika is passionate about walking alongside children, adolescents, women, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing and restoration. She has a particular interest in supporting women and youth facing emotional, relational, developmental, and complex life challenges, including chronic stress, disabilities, and challenging diagnoses. Tamika incorporates expressive arts and play-based techniques to support children and teens in creative emotional exploration and healing. Her background includes experience working with children of divorce and family transitions, including facilitating small groups. She believes that meaningful healing begins when individuals feel seen, heard, and deeply valued.
Her counseling approach is holistic, humanistic, and person-centered, emphasizing care for the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Tamika strives to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can share their stories, build resilience, and experience growth, hope, and lasting change.
