Therapist

Jessica Scott, NCC is a Therapist at The Refuge Center.  Jessica graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University and holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.  She also holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology. Jessica is a current member of the ACA, Tennessee Licensed Professional Counseling Association, and EMDRIA.

Jessica has experience working in and around the criminal justice system, including leading groups with recently released offenders, counseling survivors of crime, and working as a first responder.  Jessica also spent a decade working with children on the Autism spectrum and continues that passion through her work with Neurodivergent adults.

Jessica is an active and collaborative counselor and enjoys seeing success and fulfillment in her clients.  She is trained in EMDR (L1) and Positive Psychology and has experience in Behaviorism, CBT techniques, and safety planning.  She welcomes individuals of any age who live with ASD, anxiety, depression, domestic violence/intimate partner violence trauma, and she also brings life experience into her work with first responders.
