Therapist
Jesika Stuart, Ph.D., LPC-T, NCC, LPSC, is a Therapist at The Refuge Center pursuing full licensure. She specializes in serving individuals across their lifespans, focusing on adults, couples, and families. Jesika earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia Southern University and began her career as an Advocate Coordinator for a regional sexual assault center, where she supported survivors through crisis intervention, advocacy, and resource management. She later pursued a dual-track master’s degree in counseling, initially specializing in school counseling before advancing to earn her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision. Jesika is a member of professional organizations, including the Tennessee Counseling Association and the American Counseling Association, supporting her dedication to ethical and competent practice.
Jesika’s therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on narrative, existential, Acceptance, and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and person-centered frameworks. She has experience supporting clients navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relational issues, and significant life transitions. Jesika incorporates experiential interventions and other creative modalities to foster healing and growth. She is committed to creating a safe and empowering space where clients can explore their stories, uncover their strengths, and work toward meaningful change. Jesika values forming collaborative, trusting relationships with her clients to ensure they feel seen, heard, and supported on their journey to well-being.
