Cheryl Minardi is a Master’s Level Intern at The Refuge Center pursuing a Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree at The Townsend Institute, Concordia University Irvine. She is a member of the American Counseling Association. Cheryl is a trained spiritual director through The Theodyssey Institute. She has received Level 1 and Level 2 training in The Gottman Method Couples Therapy through the Gottman Institute. Her approach is Narrative Therapy, strength-based, mindfulness, attachment theory, CBT and Spiritual integration.

Cheryl believes that we heal and grow in safe relationship with others. She is eager to help clients connect to the deeper truth of who they are and identifying the stories that have shaped them. She is passionate about working with individuals and couples experiencing codependency, attachment issues, parenting, divorce adjustment, narcissistic abuse recovery, life transitions for women, chronic illness issues and spirituality/faith. Her approach is holistic, strength-based and person-centered using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and a variety of other modalities and techniques.
