Molly Squire, LCSW, is a Staff Therapist and School Liaison on the Child and Teen Team at The Refuge Center. She also participated in Refuge’s Post-Masters Volunteer Fellowship program. A native of Franklin, Tennessee, Molly received her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Mississippi, and she received her Masters of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee-Nashville.
Molly is passionate about partnering with children, adolescents, and young adults, and she believes that the best work and healing come from a strong therapeutic relationship. Molly has experience providing school-based therapy and counseling to children in foster care who have experienced complex trauma. She has worked with clients who are managing anxiety, depression, grief/loss, anger, life transitions, and traumatic events. Molly has completed training in Play Therapy and Expressive Arts for Children, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Brainspotting, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. She believes in utilizing a strengths-based, trauma-focused perspective and considers it an honor to walk alongside clients during their journeys.
