Dre is a Refuge Staff Therapist and coordinates our family programs. He is a  Master’s Level Counselor that earned his M.A. from Tennessee Tech University in Educational Psychology and Counselor Education. Dre enjoys working with adolescents and families that present with life transitions, divorce, adoption, anxiety, depression, addiction, physical aggression, and trauma. Dre is currently pursuing LPC-MHSP licensure.

Dre believes that he is called to help people in need by creating a judgement free zone and lending a set of listening ears. Dre has a passion for working with families and believes it takes a village to help people grow outside of session. Dre uses a person-centered approach to help clients feel comfortable to express themselves in a therapeutic setting. Dre uses motivational interviewing to help encourage clients to seek out change. Dre’s favorite quote is by the late Kobe Bryant “The most important thing is to try to inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.”
