Cari Stone (Associate Marriage and Family Therapist) is a Staff Therapist and Coordinator of Bibliotherapy and Staff Resourcing. She earned her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University and is pursuing full licensure. She is a member of The Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and the Alpha Gamma Chapter of the Delta Kappa International Marriage and Family Honor Society. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science and a Secondary Education Credential from Westmont College. 

With a professional background in writing, editing, and teaching, Cari enjoys learning and growing alongside her clients and their stories in creative and collaborative terms. Combining her professional training and life experiences, Cari approaches the therapeutic process holistically, acknowledging that our minds, bodies, and spirits are essential resources for our healing journeys. She is also a self-described bookworm who enjoys introducing clients to the practice of bibliotherapy to help enhance a person’s engagement in their own healing journey. 

Cari’s clinical areas of interest include the female lifecycle stages, grief and loss, spiritual trauma, disordered eating, and family and couple work. Cari has completed The Unifying Framework of Psychotherapy, The Experiential Training Institute Course, The Course of Introduction to Embodied Recovery for Eating Disorders, The Book Therapy Method, and EMDR (Level 1). Cari brings an attachment-based, systemic, and collaborative lens to her work, utilizing a collection of evidence-based integrative modalities that aim to support and empower her clients on their healing journey.
