About The Event

The landscape of therapy has shifted significantly in recent years as the demand for mental health services continues to rise. Care is becoming increasingly tailored, emphasizing personalized, precise, and predictive approaches. Because humans don’t heal through conversation alone, effective treatment must extend beyond traditional talk therapy to engage the brain, body, and relational systems. Different therapeutic modalities access different pathways of healing, allowing for deeper, more integrated, and more sustainable change.

Reflecting this evolution in care, the Live Intentionally 2026 speaker series will highlight key emerging therapies used at Refuge and within the broader mental health field. Topics will include Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), OCD education and interventions, perinatal therapy, music therapy, and somatic movement therapy, along with a keynote presentation from Dr. Thomas Cabell, Jr., MD, on the intimate relationship between emotional life, nervous system regulation and physical expression.

Tickets are $50 |  Includes admission to the event, a light breakfast, and will include 3 CEU’s.

Thomas H. Cabell, Jr. MD | Keynote Speaker

Dr. Thomas Cabell is a practicing invasive cardiologist in the Nashville area whose work is shaped by a lifelong inquiry into health, performance, and first principles of human biology. From early on, his interests extended beyond the mechanics of the body to the deeper forces that govern adaptation, coherence, and resilience.Years into clinical practice, a personal crisis became a turning point—one that required him to look beyond reductionist models of disease and toward the intimate relationship between emotional life, nervous system regulation and physical expression. His work now sits at the intersection of story and natural law, integrating biophysical and circadian medicine with the lived human experience. Dr. Cabell is active in the mental health and biotechnology communities and has served on the medical advisory boards of several companies, including Psycheceutical Biosciences and BioRegenx. His focus is age optimization and mitochondrial medicine, grounded in the belief that longevity arises from alignment with the fundamental laws of physiology.
