Elizabeth Schuler Edwards, LPC-MHSP, is a therapist at The Refuge Center and serves as the Director of Contract Therapists. She holds a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Middle Tennessee State University. Elizabeth is a published author in the 3rd edition of Crisis Assessment, Intervention, and Prevention (Jackson-Cherry & Erford, 2017) textbook. She is trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, TBRI, and Trauma-Focused CBT.

Elizabeth has a passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She utilizes a variety of techniques to explore the relationship between thoughts, behaviors, and emotions to facilitate client growth and awareness. She views herself as a collaborator, advocate, and nurturer in the counseling relationship. Elizabeth seeks opportunities to better support and empower clients on their journey towards a more hopeful, healthier life.

As part of a collaborative partnership with The Refuge Center for Counseling, Elizabeth also provides counseling services for staff at the Hope Family Health clinic in Westmoreland, TN.
