Sexual Abuse is NOT your fault.

In counseling for sexual abuse, you can expect a compassionate and trauma-informed approach aimed at providing support, validation, and healing. The counselor will create a safe and confidential environment where you can explore your experiences, emotions, and challenges related to sexual abuse. Using evidence-based therapies such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), or narrative therapy, the counselor will help you process trauma, manage distressing symptoms, and develop coping strategies. Sessions may also address issues like self-esteem, trust, boundaries, and healthy relationships.

Let us help you on your journey.

At Refuge, we see those who struggle with abuse of different kinds, including sexual abuse. It may be part of your story, but it is not the END of your story. Our therapists are trained, equipped, and happy to help you on your journey towards healing and freedom.
