The Refuge Center for Counseling has partnered with dance instructor and licensed master social worker Jessa Llewellyn to offer 12 free sessions of dance therapy to the Middle Tennessee community.
Classes will take place each Tuesday now through May 27 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Peoples Church in Franklin, Tenn.
“Dance has been used as a form of therapeutic expression for thousands of years,” said Amy Alexander, executive director and co-founder of The Refuge Center. “These dance therapy classes will offer an opportunity for participants to engage their mind, body and spirit—all of which are important to our overall health.”
No dance experience is required, and space is limited. New participants welcome each week.
