Adult love can be complicated and partners can become trapped in negative interaction cycles that keep them from feeling emotionally close. Much of how we engage in romantic relationships is impacted by our attachment styles, and these styles allow us to either feel securely connected, anxious about connection, or avoidant of connection. Establishing safety and security in the relationship allows for new positive emotional experiences between the partners. We all want and need to know our partners are there for us and that we matter to them. We need to know we are significant and valued.
At The Refuge Center for Counseling, we can help you reconnect with the one you love and move to a safe, secure place in your relationship. Visit us at www.refugecenter.org or call us at 615.591.5262.
