Shelby French is a Master’s Level Intern at The Refuge Center and is currently studying Marriage and Family Therapy at Trevecca Nazarene University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association as well as the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
Shelby believes everyone has a unique story that matters. She believes everyone is capable of having a life full of meaning and wholeness regardless of where their journey has taken them. She has a passion for walking alongside individuals and couples who feel stuck or are having trouble adjusting to a new season of life. Shelby’s goal is to create a safe environment for her clients to feel known and accepted, and to help them find the tools needed to create the change they long for.
Shelby is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy, and uses Emotionally Focused Therapy in her work with individuals and couples.
