Meredith has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Religion from Charleston Southern University. She is a licensed master social worker by the state of Tennessee with a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. Meredith is a therapist at the Refuge Center. In graduate school Meredith completed her concentration internship at Belmont University where she provided individual and group therapy for undergraduate students. Additionally, she has clinical experience working with adolescents and adults in healthcare and school settings. Her clinical interests include working with teenagers, young adults, adults, and student athletes undergoing life adjustments/transitions.
Meredith is known for her calm and steady demeanor. She considers self-compassion essential for change and growth. Meredith is an integrative psychotherapist who works with clients from a strength’s based perspective including elements of person-centered therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. She holds listening to clients as they vulnerably process in high regard.
