Staff Therapist/Director of PMVF and Continuing Education

Madison Moquin, LMSW is a Staff Therapist and Director of the Post Master’s Fellowship Program and Continuing Education at The Refuge Center. Madison has worked as a licensed social worker in the state of Tennessee since 2014 and is currently pursuing clinical licensure. Madison received her Bachelor of Social Work from Belmont University and her Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is trained in TF-CBT and S.A.F.E. EMDR I & II.

Madison has valuable experience working with survivors of sexual violence, prostitution, addiction and domestic violence. She enjoys working with adult clients whose goal is to heal from trauma of any kind. Madison also spent several years working in an inpatient acute medical setting, so she is especially proficient in working with clients and families navigating chronic mental and physical health issues as well as terminal illness and end of life care.

Madison is passionate about supporting and encouraging individuals in times of crisis and uncertainty. She uses an eclectic approach in her therapeutic practice, but is often solution-focused, and strengths-based, with an emphasis on mindfulness and self-compassion. Madison uses elements of CBT, DBT, ACT & MI to serve and support her clients at The Refuge Center.
