Lisa Stevens is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and loves her role as Therapist at The Refuge Center for Counseling. She earned her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling/Therapy from Trevecca Nazarene University and received her B.S. in Psychology and Christian Counseling from Liberty University. She is passionate about helping people thrive as they navigate their way through our difficult culture to become all that God created them to be. Using trauma-informed and attachment lenses, she considers it a privilege to walk alongside families, couples and individuals who are hurting and provide them with a sense of hope that healing is possible.
Lisa is trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy; EMDR Levels I & II; Theraplay ™ Level I, and has completed TBRI Caregiver Training. Additionally, she has received extensive specialized training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and is a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
