Les is a Master’s Level Intern at The Refuge Center and is currently studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Middle Tennessee State University. He is a member of the Tennessee Licensed Professional Counseling Association, American Counselors Association, and the Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society.
Les has a B.S. in Psychology and minors in Sociology and Lifespan Development. He became interested in counseling having worked in the addictions field for many years. Les’ focus is on addictions and geriatric counseling where he believes in client-centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as the best approach in helping clients reach their goals.
Les believes that the therapeutic relationship is built on mutual trust and understanding and provides a safe space for clients to focus on their goals.
