Katie Ledbetter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of TN in 2011. She has experience working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault as a counselor and an advocate, having worked in this field since 2008. She has counseling experience helping individuals with addictions and co-occurring disorders, personality disorders, and other mental health problems. She enjoys using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients with emotion regulation due to trauma. Katie believes in focusing on strengths and self-determination during the journey to healing. She feels honored and inspired to watch someone find their own path on their journey to empowerment.
Thanks to collaborative grants from The Healing Trust and The Community Foundation, Katie is one of two therapists from The Refuge Center at the Center of Hope in Columbia, TN. Free counseling services are provided at this location for adult victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking or human trafficking.
