Donna is a Master’s Level Intern at The Refuge Center for Counseling pursuing her degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Trevecca Nazarene University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselors Association and is trained in CAMS. She enjoys working with individuals from various backgrounds needing support with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and abuse.
Donna is guided by her desire to be a source of hope, compassion, and encouragement to those in need. She is passionate about walking alongside her clients on their journey to experience growth, healing and freedom in their lives and relationships. She values creating a safe space where clients feel heard, understood, and valued. Using a collaborative, person-centered approach, she draws on multiple psychotherapeutic models which include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing to create a strengths- based plan unique to each individual.
