Contract Therapist

Daryn Thompson, LPC-MHSP is a therapist at The Refuge Center who provides counseling for adults, couples, and teens. Daryn values relationship building in counseling and helping you find customized and practical solutions to the challenges you face. He also promotes a growth and exploration approach to self-discovery that strengthens your foundation in continued growth beyond counseling.

Daryn has worked with individuals struggling with anxiety and depression, couples disillusioned in their relationships, and teens who just need someone to talk to outside their family and friend groups. Most of all he wants to assist you in getting on with what matters most to you and building a life you want.

Daryn received his undergraduate training at LaGrange College and holds a double major in psychological science and sociology. He completed his graduate studies in clinical mental health and human development at Vanderbilt University, and his internships include child forensic interviewing, inpatient addiction recovery, and outpatient counseling with adults and teens.
