Christina Donahue, LPC-MHSP (temp)

Christina Donahue is a therapist for The Refuge Center for Counseling. She holds a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Trevecca University and is currently pursuing licensure. Christina’s passion is working with those who find themselves struggling with life transitions, anxiety, depression, attachment, grief and loss, identity, and trauma.

Christina believes in the sacred connection between the mind and body and that everyone already has everything they need inside themselves to heal, they just might need help connecting to it. To help strengthen this connection to self, Christina uses techniques that help people learn to grow, listen, and learn to trust their inner voice in order to more fully understand their symptoms and find a path to relief. Christina uses techniques such as EMDR, somatic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, brainspotting, and core emotions to help people explore the root of their distress and learn the skills needed to manage it for greater quality of life. Christina believes that through awareness and self-acceptance a person can learn a new way of living and transform their life.
