  • 21 Board Members and 17 Partnership Council/Growing Home Leadership Team Members who are engaged, passionate, generous and faithful in their service to The Refuge Center.

  • New Church Missional Partnership with Church of the City.

  • Most successful fundraisers (Live Intentionally, The Big Payback and Hope Grows) with attendees and funds raised – in all of The Refuge Center history.

  • New Collaborative Partnership with Justice and Mercy International, with the first counseling trip to the Amazon in July. Trips to Amazon and Moldova coming in 2020.

  • Annexation and Rezoning of Long Lane property completed in July.

  • Purchase of Long Lane property in August for our future home.

  • Reached $1.37 million in Growing Home Capital Campaign.

  • Implementation of a Sabbatical program for staff.

  • Released a book collaboration: “Inner Technology: How to be Human in a Digital World” launched in September.

  • TNU Doctoral Program completed a comprehensive culture assessment of our organization with very positive results.

  • Our compassion care culture was featured in the Tennessean.

  • We hosted our first ever Grief Retreat on September 28th, which was sold out and worked with 16 women who embarked on life-changing work through experiential, group and individual grief ritual and healing processes.

  • 19% increase in counseling services! On track to provide more life-changing counseling sessions to MORE people than any other year in Refuge Center history.
